Kiwi adventures

This is a photo of a valley up a river somewhere in Taranaki in New Zealand.

I am out here taking photos and doing some filming.

Equipment list below:

Canon 7D
GoPro HD Hero
Waterproof and small enough to be put in weird places

Tamron 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD
Left the heavy L lenses at home.  So far I have used this lens 99% of the time. It's light and has a good range, don't have to swap lenses.  I'm okay with losing out optical quality for massive benefits in portability and versatility.

Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8
For landscapes.  I used this once so far.

Sigma 30mm f/1.4
For low light.  I used this once to catch photos of Kiwis (the small fat birds).

Zoom H4n digital sound recorder
Tram TR-50 lavalier mic

Light & Rig:
Bescor Led-70w light

Canon 580EXII Flash

LCDVF

Stead-DSLR shoulder mount and stabilizer

Bescor Universal Swivel Adapter
Cool-lux Y-Bracket

Gitzo G0077 center ball head

Manfrotto Quick change rectangular plate adapter

Peripheral Equipment:
Black Rapid RS-4 Camera strap (w/ MBR1 stabilizer)

Manfrotto 190CXPRO4 Pro Carbon Fibre Tripod
I brought a carbon fibre tripod this time, it's smaller, and lighter.

Pelican #1510 cas
Pelican #1010 micro cas

Canon TC-80N3 timer remote

4x Canon LP-E6 Batteries

12x Pearstone AA Ni-MH rechargable batteries
